Jean-Luc Ponty Project

This year we chose to learn about Jean-Luc Ponty, the great jazz/fusion French born violinist that so inspired me when I was a teenager growing up in Brazil. We learned his beautiful composition "Two Thousand-One Years" from his album "Life Enigma". It was a challenge and rewarding for the students to learn this piece. We sent a video of us playing to Jean-Luc and he was kind enough to not only respond to our e-mail but to also post our video on his social media. What a treat! We feel so honored!!!
